Completing Email Verification on Powered by PayIt Apps
When a new profile is created or an email address is updated on a "powered by PayIt" App, you will be prompted to complete email verification. Follow the steps below to complete email verification:

1. Check your email inbox for a verification email
2. Enter the six-digit code and click Verify & Sign In
3. Enter your verified email address and password, then click Log In

What is email verification and why is it required?
Email verification is a security measure that serves to certify that only the account owner is granted access to your PayIt profile. It also ensures that you receive all important account notifications such as receipts, bill reminders and AutoPay communications. A code will be sent to your inbox and you will be asked to confirm this code in order to proceed.
I received a verification email that I did not request. What are my next steps?
If you believe you received a verification email in error, rest assured access to your account was not granted and no action is required on your part. However, you are able to reset your password at your discretion. (See Changing Passwords on Powered by PayIt Apps.)
What should I do if I cannot find the verification email?

Check your spam or junk folder for an email titled “Please verify your email address” from hello@payitgov.com or hello@payitgov.ca and mark the email as safe

If your inbox is full, you will need to make space in your inbox then click Resend Code on the email verification screen in the PayIt App. You can also choose to use an alternate email address for your PayIt profile.

If you are unable to find your verification email using the steps above, it is likely due to a mistype in the email address. Repeat the appropriate steps (see Creating a Profile on Powered by PayIt Apps or Changing Email Addresses on Powered by PayIt Apps) and ensure that the email address entered is spelled correctly before proceeding.
